Life has a way of throwing curveballs when you least expect it, and mine hit hard. A few years back, I went through what I can only describe as a perfect storm of upheaval. My dad got seriously ill, and I found myself juggling hospital visits, family drama, and trying to keep it together at a pretty toxic workplace. Around the same time, my long-term relationship crumbled, and I felt like the ground had been pulled out from under me. There were nights when I’d lie awake, wondering how on earth I was supposed to keep going when everything felt so uncertain.
